The Official Web Thing of Mine
motoriginal:

This is the story of the only Scaglietti 1957 Ferrari 410 Superamerica ever built. The 410’s were all built by Pininfarina, except one…and this is it!
Built specifically for a special Ferrari patron, it has a pretty chaotic but amazing history. And it goes like this;
The car was delivered to its new special owner in 1957 who turned around and sold it in 1958. It was sold again in 1961 and by the 1970s was owned by a man in California where it was stolen.
The thief removed the body from the chassis, disposed the body, and sold the chassis to a farmer in Oregon where it sat for almost 20 years until Greg Harrison, a known Ferrari collector (and TV director), heard about its location.
Harrison put ads in the local papers offering a reward to the person who had it and lo and behold, the car’s location was revealed.
 He personally bought the car within a day and had it flown to Italy and put into the hands of the original creator, Scaglietti.
Original sketches, blueprints, work sheets, and factory photos were unearthed and the car was carefully restored within two years and now it’s up for auction again at RM.
The story of the ‘57 410 Superamerica continues!
